フィンランドで立ち寄ったチャリティーショップで、目を奪われた美しいプレート。裏を返すと、そこにはARABIAのスタンプがありますが、それを上から筆で塗り潰し、“1950.12.24” とイニシャルのサインを入れた跡があります。

おそらくARABIAの白いプレートをキャンバスに、誰かが大切な人のために上絵付けを施したのでしょう。ドラマチックでロマンティックな世界観、その過去に思いを巡らせます。

中央に配された、傘を差した貴婦人のシルエット。雲のようなやわらかな曲線とリムを縁取る繊細なガーランド模様が、モノトーンの中に気品ある奥行きを生んでいます。

ほどよく色の落ちた金縁、乳白色の陶肌の質感は、ヴィンテージにしかない空気を纏っています。
